Track and Trailing Hike

This hike must take place in an area like a nature center, state park or other location where you are likely to spot animal tracks. Start out on a hiking trail. When you observe animal tracks, stop and try to identify them. If you want, make a plaster cast of the tracks. Continue your hike by following the tracks. You may change direction whenever you encounter new tracks. NOTE: Use caution to ensure you do not wander far from an area with which you are familiar. Carry a compass and map so you can find your way back to civilization if you wander too far away from the beaten path.
