Camp Knots

As Boy Scouts, your Webelos Scouts will need to know how to tie different knots. Some are especially useful for camping. Check out the knots in the Webelos handbook and print out copies of the "Knots Fun Page" too.

Give each boy a 6-10' length of rope to use (and keep!). Each boy should work with his adult partner in learning to tie the knots. It would be especially nice to have a Boy Scout who is really talented in knot tieing to do this session. To make it even more fun, try to obtain the twisted rope licorice. Once the Webelos Scout has mastered all his knots with rope, he can make them with licorice and then eat them!
